Seeking Quality Assurance and Advisory Council Members


Heka Healthcare Academy Quality Assurance and Advisory Council Members:  As an advisory council member, you will be responsible for working with a team colleagues to review each of Heka Healthcare Academy’s professional development courses for quality.  As an industry expert, your feedback is important; the advisory council team’s seal of approval will appear on each course prior to its release.  Team members will utilize a checklist to provide feedback about the courses strengths, weaknesses, and areas that need additional improvement.  You will also have an opportunity to serve as a contributing writer to the Heka Healthcare Consulting Blog and Newsletter. Additionally, your photo and bio will be featured on the Heka Academy website. 


  • Bachelor’s degree or above

  • Minimum of 3 years of healthcare industry experience

  • Ability to contribute meaningful feedback

  • Ability to contribute to the Heka Consulting blog/newsletter at least quarterly

  • Ability to meet virtually at least twice a year

  • + if you have owned a business in the healthcare industry


This is a non-paid position, that will last for an initial duration of 24-months, the board is made up of 5-7 team members.  There are also leadership positions available:  President, Vice-President, Quality Controller, and Secretary.  Most the work can be delivered virtually, but the board will have an initial in-person meeting once established.  If interested, please send your resume to:

Healthcare Consultants, Instructional Designers, Facilitators

Social Media Management Intern:


Duration/Pay:  8-month virtual internship/$250 total stipend


Duties Required:


  • Manage social media marketing campaigns and day-to-day activities including:

    • Develop relevant content topics to reach the company’s target customers.

    • Create, curate, and manage all published content (images, video and written).

    • Monitor, listen and respond to users in a “Social” way while cultivating leads and sales.

    • Conduct online advocacy and open a stream for cross-promotions.

    • Develop and expand community and/or influencer outreach efforts.

    • Oversee design (ie: Facebook Timeline cover, profile pic, thumbnails, ads, landing pages, Twitter profile, Blog, etc.).

    • Design, create and manage promotions and Social ad campaigns.

    • Manage efforts in building online reviews and reputation. Monitor online reviews and respond to each review.

    • Analyze key metrics and tweak strategy as needed.

    • Compile reports for management showing results (ROI).

  • Become an advocate for the company in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate.

  • Demonstrate ability to map out a comprehensive marketing plan. Drive strategies that are proven by testing and metrics.

  • Develop organizational elements in order to implement a proactive process for capturing happy, loyal customer online reviews.

  • Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy.

  • Implement ongoing education to remain highly effective.

  • Identify threats and opportunities in user-generated content surrounding the company. Report notable threats to appropriate management.

  • Analyze campaigns and translate anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations and plans for revising social media, content marketing, SEO and social advertising campaigns.

  • Monitor effective benchmarks (Best Practices) for measuring the impact of social media campaigns. Analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results.


Graphic Design Internship:


Duration/Pay:  5-6 months virtual internship/$250 total stipend


  • Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, and select style and size of type.

  • Confer with clients to discuss and determine layout design.

  • Create designs, concepts, and sample layouts, based on knowledge of layout principles and esthetic design concepts.

  • Develop graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and Web sites.

  • Use computer software to generate new images



Marketing Management Internship:


Duration/Pay:  12-month virtual/on-site internship/$300 total stipend

  • Maintains research database by identifying and assembling marketing information.

  • Provides marketing information by answering questions and requests.

  • Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.

  • Completes marketing department operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.

  • Maintains marketing staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.

  • Maintains marketing staff job results by counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.

  • Develops marketing staff by providing information, educational opportunities, and experiential growth opportunities.

  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
